The Shadow Secretary of State for Education and Skills, David Willetts MP, recently visited
As with many public spaces, the Park had deteriorated over the years and the house was falling into disrepair. Previous administrations at Vale Royal had struggled to fund basic operations and 5 years ago had considered selling off the House for residential property.

John Prescott believes in knocking down old buildings. Conservatives believe in restoring them for public use.''
