PPC goes for a Midnight Hike for Cheshire Hospice

Cllr Graham Evans PPC for Weaver vale took part in the 10k Midnight Hike in aid of East Cheshire Hospice along with 500 other local residents. An estimated £45,000 was raised for the Hospice which cares for adults suffering from life limiting illnesses from which there is no cure. The event launched their ‘caring for our future’ appeal with all fundraising going towards constructing and running a new building development at the Hospice.

Cllr Graham Evans said “ My  son George joined me on the walk and we both enjoyed our selves immensely, it was certainly a Saturday night with a difference! The weather was very  kind with a clear sky and a full moon to help us see our way. There was a lot of laughing, joking and singing on the route and the 10k seemed to pass by quickly although the tea and  bacon sandwiches at the end were most welcome!

Well done to all those that took part, we look forward to next year.
