Never voted Tory before?
David Cameron has launched a nationwide poster campaign aimed at reaching out to people who have never voted Conservative before.
The posters, which will appear on over 1,500 sites in England, Scotland and Wales, feature three people who will be voting Conservative for the first time at the next election, and explain why they have made their decisions.
Julie from Llandudno says she backs our plans to help families; Ian from Congleton stresses the importance of sorting out the economy; and Danielle from Brighton talks about the need to mend our broken society.
Speaking at a launch event in London today, David said: "This election is too important for people to just go along with voting how theyve always done, or how their family has always done", and he added:
"Weve got big problems in this country, and we need to make big changes to solve them - and thats why were saying to people who have never voted Tory before: We are not the same old Conservative Party. We have changed. We are a party for the mainstream majority in our country, and we need your help to stop five more years of Gordon Brown and to make the changes we need to get the country back on its feet."
