Graham Evans’s reaction to the Conservatives Victory in Norwich North
On Thursday 23rd July the Conservatives won the Norwich North By-election gaining the seat from Labour with a majority of more than 7,000 votes.
Conservative candidate Chloe Smith won with 13,591 votes - more than twice as many votes as Labour's Chris Ostrowski.
Weaver Vale Conservatives helped out with this campaign and are absolutely delighted with the result.

“Chloe has fought a model, positive campaign and deserves such a positive result. It’s gratifying that the smears of the Labour campaign were punished by the electorate. Across the county we are seeing increasingly desperate smear campaigns being run by the Labour Party which has run out of ideas and steam. The sooner Gordon Brown has the guts to call a General Election the better.”
Weaver Vale following 2007 Boundary Changes has an estimated Labour majority of 5,300 which only requires a 7.6% swing to the Conservatives.
